We were very proud to be
- these radically innovative and transformative regulations
- the code of practice that we helped industry develop in response to these changes
- and the 12 years of good labelling practices they encouraged.
During this period many over-the counter (OTC) medicine packages were redesigned to make medicines easier for people to use safely.
Sadly, the Therapeautic Goods Administration (TGA) introduced new regulation in 2016 which totally ignored this work and took the cause of usable medicines labelling back 30 years. You can see my critique of the new regulations here and in a number of blogs which followed.
The model regulations we helped create are reproduced below in the hope that they will inspire you to take up this cause and make medicine information easier for people to use in the future.
