All applications are considered by the Fellows Appointment Committee and they have the final say in any appointment. The Committee consists of our Governors and Life Fellows. - Life Fellows are usually appointed having first joined as an Associate Fellow, and then, having made an important contribution to our work, are nominated by the Life Fellow's Council to become Life Fellows. In some circumstance, if you have a proven distinguished career in our field, and your are nominated by our Life Fellows and Board of Governors, you may be appointed directly to our Life Fellows. Fellows are paid for the time they contribute to paid projects. They also contribute time to our research program and advocacy work. The annual Fee for life Fellows is $200.
