I am very pleased that you are interested in becoming a CRI Fellow.
CRI Fellows are special people who share with us a passion for helping people through good communication and information design. Fellows also have appropriate training, experience, craft skills, research interests, and experience in applying these in practical design projects.
You need to be committed to excellence in our field and want to make a leading contribution for the common good.
If this is you, I would love to hear from you.
Here is an outline of the process:
You must be a current CRI Member.
Individuals or organisations can join for AU$100 and AU$500 respectively.
If, as a Member, you wish to apply to become a Fellow, send me an email attaching an up to date CV. I will then be able to advise you whether or not you would be eligible to make a formal application.
The formal application explains the full requirements, obligations, and benefits of becoming a CRI Fellow.
If you then put in a formal application, there is none-refundable application fee of AU$50.
Your application will be considered by a Committee of our Board of Governors and Life Fellows. Their decision is final.
If you are accepted, you can take up your Fellowship for a total annual fee of AU$200, which includes your full Individual CRI Membership.
Fellows are paid for the time they contribute to externally funded CRI project work.
Fellows give their time and experience freely to contribute the ongoing research and development undertaken by CRI for its Members and for the common good.
Fellows can use their association with CRI in promoting their work and career.
I wish you all the best in your application.
(In special cases, the Board of Governors can, at its discretion, reduce or waive applicable fees.)
